These slides shows prices for stock options. The Y axis is the last price, X axis is the strike price, and the bubble size is open interest. I’m thinking of making this an automated service, where you can plug in any stock symbol and get a rendered slideshow like these.

I’ve been playing around with stock option visualizations. Here is the next couple years of options contracts for BIDU.
- Y Axis = Last Sale Price
- X Axis = Time (About 2 years out)
- Bubble Size = Open Interest
I added a couple polynomial (6th order) trend lines. What’s interesting is that Calls and Puts are moving in opposite direction of each other. Seems to be a major polarization about 1 to 1.5 years out.
